Telegram Bringing secure group video calls this year And more Features, Here are the details.!






Messaging app Telegram is developing a group video calling service that’s due to be launched later this year, the company announced today. It says that current options offer either security or usability, but that its version will offer both. Telegram announced the plans alongside news that it reached 400 million monthly active users, doubling its user base in two years.




Telegram’s claim that current group video calling services offer either security or usability is a not-so-subtle swipe at user-friendly Zoom, which has been hit by multiple security scandals in recent months. Critics pointed out that the service’s claims about offering end-to-end encryption were false, and that its default privacy settings made it easy for uninvited users to tap into video calls. That said, Telegram has also faced its share of criticism from the security community in part because its end-to-end encryption is not enabled by default.




Telegram detailed a collection of new features it’s launching today. Users can now add educational snippets to quizzes created on the service, there’s a new directory to browse the 20,000 stickers available on Telegram, and the company is also adding new features to its macOS client.

India Tells Banks to Migrate ATMs From Windows XP.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has notified all local financial institutions to exchange the operating system of the ATMs that still run Windows XP. They will be subject to regulatory sanctions if they do not meet the deadline – by June 2019. The Bleeping Computer obtained a copy of the notification sent by the RBI. Banks will have to implement some security measures before replacing Windows XP with another newer system. In the first phase, which lasts until August 2018, banks should implement password in the BIOS of ATMs; disable USB ports; apply the latest security patches, and limit the access time of administrators. In the second phase, which runs until March 2019, institutions will have to take steps to prevent card cloning and will apply whitelisting to release critical access only to certain users. Facebook new feature now create your Own Avatars.

A competition to Bitmoji, the feature will enable users to create a cartoon-like version of themselves by choosing from a variety of face cuts, hairstyle, and outfit options. You can use an Avatar in Facebook comments, stories, profile picture, and Messenger chat windows. These Avatars can also be shared on WhatsApp chats.
