How you can stop bad information and Fake news about Corona from going viral.

Image
AS PER BBC NEWS Coronavirus misinformation is flooding the internet and experts are calling on the public to practise "information hygiene". What can you do to stop the spread of bad information? 1. Stop and think You want to help family and friends and keep them in the loop. So when you receive fresh advice - whether by email, WhatsApp, Facebook or Twitter - you might quickly forward it on to them. But experts say the number one thing you can do to halt misinformation is to simply stop and think. If you have any doubts, pause, and check it out further. 2. Check your source Before you forward it on, ask some basic questions about where the information comes from. It's a big red flag if the source is "a friend of a friend" or "my aunt's colleague's neighbour". "The most reliable sources of information remain public health bodies like the NHS, the World Health Organisation, or the Centers for Disease Control and Pre

Google Pay debit card. Let's see what actually is that.

Image
Here it is Google Pay card that will act as a debit card for your checking account. The image of the card was obtained by TechCrunch. However, it’s still a rumor, so don’t take it to the bank just yet. Those of you old enough to remember will know that this won’t be the first time there’s been a Google Pay card — although the original was a Google Wallet card, which was the precursor to Google Pay. The Google Wallet card allowed you to pay for things at any credit card terminal, with the funds deducted from your Wallet balance or connected banking accounts. The Google Pay app would act as your banking app, showing you your deposits, withdrawals, and purchases. According to TechCrunch, you wouldn’t necessarily need the supposed Google checking account to use the Google Pay card — you could instead link it to your existing checking account and then use the Google Pay app as your financial hub. From what TechCrunch reports, the Google Pay card and associated checking account w

New rules on TikTok app will no longer be allowed to send or receive direct messages.

Image
It is the first time a major social-media platform has blocked private messaging by teenagers, on a global scale. Until now, all users have been able to send direct messages to others, when both accounts follow each other. The change means those under the age of 16 will no longer be able to communicate privately on the platform under any circumstances. They will still be able to post publicly in the comments sections of videos. TikTok says those affected will receive an in-app notification soon and will lose access to direct messages on 30 April. The limit is based on the date of birth added to the account when it is created - but no verification takes place and the system is based on trust. The interesting thing here is that TikTok's biggest group of users are teenagers. This restriction will impact a large number of their core demographic. Depending on how cynical you are, you could view this as TikTok following the same strategy as Facebook and others, whereby

Facebook Buildding a hidden Feature, to teach us more about ourselves. This may lock trolls and scams.

Image
Facebook wants to stop people from abusing its system, so it's creating a world of bots that can mimic them. To test the platform, the company's researchers released a paper on "Web Enabled Simulation" (WES) - basically a shadow Facebook where users who don't have a human eye want to share, or friend (or harass, abuse and scam). Facebook describes building a scaled-down, wall-off simulation of its platform, with fake users modeling different types of real behavior. For example, a "scammer" bot can be trained to connect with "target" bots that display similar behaviors to real-life Facebook scam victims. Other bots may be trained to attack fake users' privacy or search for "bad" content that violates Facebook rules. It helps to detect Facebook bugs. Researchers can build WES users, whose sole purpose is to steal information from other bots, and keep them loose in the system. If they suddenly find ways to access mor

Google play To be bring a new section for kids, 'Teacher approved apps".

Image
Google is launching a new Kids section for the Google Play Store, which will offer a selection of so-called “ Teacher Approved ” apps. The search giant says these are apps that meet its quality standards and are highly rated by teachers. Each approved app includes a list of reasons why teachers like it, including age-appropriateness, and what it’s trying to teach children. According to Google, it had originally planned to launch the new section later this year, but it brought the launch forward since so many children are now spending so much of their time at home in front of screens. The reason for this is, of course, the COVID-19 pandemic, which has forced schools to temporarily close around the world, shifting much of the responsibility onto parents. Google says that this early launch means that the section will launch with some apps missing but that it’s working to review more “as quickly as possible.” The new Kids section is rolling out over the next few days in t

YouTube is testing to bring Chapter feature, actually what is that.?

Image
YouTube is creating a new feature called Chapters for Videos. The UI looks a little different in the video player. The scrubbing timeline is divided into sections for each chapter, and hovering over each one will show the chapter's title (again, taken from the description) and your progress through that particular section. This feature takes the timestamps for the description specified by the creators and automatically converts them into chapter markers for video. And it is unclear at the moment whether it will expand to all video creators and users around the world. Chapters have started showing up for some YouTube viewers on some channels. They are generated based on the timestamps the creators have included in their video description. ~By Sunilkumar Choudari

PUBG introduce This Update on April 16

Image
Battle royale game PUBG Mobile has been teasing about ‘Cold Front Survival’ on its social media platforms. It seems to be a new game mode. Or, it could be a new map also, with some on Twitter claiming that it is a snowy version of classic map Erangel. There have been tweets made by the official PUBG Mobile account with different pictures, saying that Cold Front Survival would launch on April 16. From the one-line description and the latest teased picture of the ‘mode’, it would seem that Cold Front Survival would be set in an icy region like how it is in the Vikendi map. The photo shows a player holding the hand of his/her comrade-in-battle, with two more players in the background who look like they belong to the same team. All of them are caught in snowfall or what could be a blizzard too. The description says, “as soon as possible to chill with us okay. Okay lets wait for it. ~By Sunilkumar Choudari

Now Stream Instagram Live Videos From Web.

Image
Instagram, along with WhatsApp, is one of the popular services from Facebook that users do well hours daily. And the lockdown situations as current are making users rely more on such platforms for entertainment. Okay coming to the point. Now Watch Live Streams In a Better Way From now on, one can stream live videos from their favorite stars on Instagram on their computers! This was confirmed by Android Authority which has found this feature added to the web earlier today. While you expect an increase in the video display size because of the extended screen, there’s no change in that. It’s the same as in the phone, but just not congested. A notable thing here is the shifting of comments to a sidebar. Yes, and this was cool. Now, the live streams will not be obstructed by flowing comments. As these were now moved onto a side panel, which shows the comments on a separate window. This makes the steam more visible, and better. ~By Sunilkumar Choudari

Why Python is Favorite Programming Language of Hackers ?

Ultrafast terabit Ethernet connectivity approaching with fastest Speed -but it is unlikely Not to be cheaper. Full details

Image
0.8 TB Ethernet technology is on its way The tremendous increase in data demand has been announced recently from the Ethernet Technology consortium to the new 800 Gigabit Ethernet technology. They reported that the criteria are based around the current 106.25 G-LANs (Guidance for 400 GB), but the total number of LANs will double from four to eight – which is essentially two-enclosed 400 RGB lines. The primary application of the technology will be in data centers, where hyper scale operators, website hosting companies and HPC will increasingly make bandwidth growth. Terabit The 800 gigabit is still not 1 Tbit and the next repeated engineers of this technology will finally break the Terrabbit to an obstacle per second. Do you ever see the end users come up with similar speed to their devices? Well, most of the laptops that are on sale no longer come with Ethernet connection and the cloud computing and mainstreamed legal streaming services have made servers and NA
