YouTube is testing to bring Chapter feature, actually what is that.?






YouTube is creating a new feature called Chapters for Videos.

The UI looks a little different in the video player. The scrubbing timeline is divided into sections for each chapter, and hovering over each one will show the chapter's title (again, taken from the description) and your progress through that particular section.





This feature takes the timestamps for the description specified by the creators and automatically converts them into chapter markers for video. And it is unclear at the moment whether it will expand to all video creators and users around the world.





Chapters have started showing up for some YouTube viewers on some channels. They are generated based on the timestamps the creators have included in their video description.

YouTube re-enables it's High Quality streaming on smartphones.

Due to coronavirus pandemic, YouTube in India restricted video streaming quality on its mobile apps to 480p. It was done to ensure that the sudden increase in internet traffic didn’t cause any issues. The limited video quality continued in the country even after the lockdown. Many were complaining about it. For that YouTube is finally re-enabling 1080p streaming in India. You can now stream videos in 1080p on Android and iOS YouTube app. However, the setting is limited to WiFi network.
