Fortnite is now available on the Google Play Store. After 18 months of offering Fortnite on Android directly from its website, Epic Games has now made it available on Google Play too. But not before telling Google exactly what it thinks of the situation.




Now, 18 months on, Epic Games has decided to release Fortnite on the Google Play Store after all. This is because, according to Epic, “Google puts software downloadable outside of Google Play at a disadvantage, through technical and business measures”.




The upshot being that Fortnite is now available to download from the Google Play Store. However, Epic Games is set to continue operating the Epic Games App and keep Fortnite available from sources other than the Google Play Store. Namely, its own website.




Still, this is good news for those people who have avoided playing Fortnite on Android due to the game not being available on Google Play. All you need to do now is get good enough at the game to actually beat the people who have been playing it for years.

India Tells Banks to Migrate ATMs From Windows XP.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has notified all local financial institutions to exchange the operating system of the ATMs that still run Windows XP. They will be subject to regulatory sanctions if they do not meet the deadline – by June 2019. The Bleeping Computer obtained a copy of the notification sent by the RBI. Banks will have to implement some security measures before replacing Windows XP with another newer system. In the first phase, which lasts until August 2018, banks should implement password in the BIOS of ATMs; disable USB ports; apply the latest security patches, and limit the access time of administrators. In the second phase, which runs until March 2019, institutions will have to take steps to prevent card cloning and will apply whitelisting to release critical access only to certain users. Facebook new feature now create your Own Avatars.

A competition to Bitmoji, the feature will enable users to create a cartoon-like version of themselves by choosing from a variety of face cuts, hairstyle, and outfit options. You can use an Avatar in Facebook comments, stories, profile picture, and Messenger chat windows. These Avatars can also be shared on WhatsApp chats. Here‘s how you can create your own Image:   The Avatar creator can be accessed from Bookmarks in Facebook app, as well as from the comment composer. Users can also access it from someone else’s Avatar shared across the app. People will have to use their mobiles to create Avatar.   In order to create an Avatar, go to Facebook or Messenger comment composer > tap on the emoticon icon > then tap on the sticker tab.
