Facebook has started testing a short video feature within its main app in India. Currently, the feature named Short Videos can be seen in the news feed which allows users to watch and create short lip-syncing videos on the platform.
Facebook user base is high. In view of the fact that Facebook users are high in India, the Facebook company is going to provide the facility for Facebook users to make short videos directly in the same app without the need to install any special application.
The company has started offering the Short Feed feature exclusively in the News Feed to a limited number of users. A special button called Create will also appear when you go into that feed. When watching a video in this short videos section, just like in TikTok, swipe your finger and the next video will play. In addition to adding music when recording short videos, there is also the option to pause the video recording in the middle.
However, the time limit for short videos recorded by Facebook needs to be clarified. This feature is currently available for testing on a very small number of Indian users. Soon all Indian users will be able to create short videos similar to TikTok from their Facebook account, without having to use apps like TikTok. This is an example of how almost all companies are working tirelessly to create a strong alternative to TikTok.
