Facebook launching new app that give competition to Tik-Tok.

Facebook has introduced a new app that will give competition to the popular video-sharing app TikTok Facebook created a new app called Collab, the app is presently available in beta only for iOS users and the app brings together creators and fans to create, watch, and mix and match original videos, starting with music.
In an official post the company said, “With Collab, we’re leveraging technology to help people unlock creative superpowers by collaborating on original music videos from anywhere.”
With this new app, user can create short videos split into three that are playing in sync. With the app, you can create your own arrangement by adding in your own recording or by swiping and discovering an arrangement to complete your composition. You don’t require any musical experience to use the app or to create a video.
Once you have created a video using Collab, then you can publish it for others to watch and mix and match further. You can also share yours or others’ creations to Instagram, Facebook Stories, or any other platform.

India Tells Banks to Migrate ATMs From Windows XP.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has notified all local financial institutions to exchange the operating system of the ATMs that still run Windows XP. They will be subject to regulatory sanctions if they do not meet the deadline – by June 2019. The Bleeping Computer obtained a copy of the notification sent by the RBI. Banks will have to implement some security measures before replacing Windows XP with another newer system. In the first phase, which lasts until August 2018, banks should implement password in the BIOS of ATMs; disable USB ports; apply the latest security patches, and limit the access time of administrators. In the second phase, which runs until March 2019, institutions will have to take steps to prevent card cloning and will apply whitelisting to release critical access only to certain users. Google releases Android 11 Developer Preview 3.--New Modern Tech Media

Google has begun rolling out the third release of the Android 11 Developer Preview to several Pixel devices. Unfortunately, we don’t recommend anyone flash a Developer Preview build to your Pixel if it is currently your primary device, as it perhaps may not be stable enough.
